St Mary's Hospital Paddington

Pilbrow & Partners were commissioned by Imperial College Healthcare Trust to assist in the preparation of their SOC application to the Department of Health and Treasury for funding a new hospital facility at St Mary’s Paddington. The Trust’s brief calls for the provision of a major new trauma hospital serving west London encompassing 17 departments in an overall building of 1.6 million sqft. Our proposals explore issues of clinical functionality in the content of a tall building adjacent to the existing hospital. Zoned around a series of south-facing departmental villages, high and medium tech floorplates benefit from access to internal and external greenspace.
